David grew up in the Woodlawn area of Dartmouth. After completing an Honours undergraduate degree in Political Science and History at Dalhousie University, he obtained a combined Bachelor of Law degree and Master of Public Administration degree from Dalhousie. Since his call to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2005, he has practiced in downtown Dartmouth. He joined Weldon McInnis in 2019.

David’s practice areas include Real Estate, Wills and Estates and Corporate & Commercial matters. He has considerable experience working with clients in Europe that have holiday homes and businesses in Nova Scotia.

With an interest in both life-long learning and community involvement, David has served on a variety of agencies, boards and commissions at the Federal, Provincial and Municipal levels, including Canada’s Payments in Lieu of Taxes Dispute Advisory Panel, the Nova Scotia Real Estate Commission, the Provincial Dental Board of Nova Scotia, the Crop and Livestock Insurance Arbitration Board of Nova Scotia, and the Halifax Regional Water Commission.
